MARSHALL PLAN
The Marshall plan was the US's way to help with European recovery. It provided $13.8 million to participating Western European countries. His plan would give money to the countries to rebuild due to war torn situations.
The plan achieved its goals by stimulationg the econemy, increasing productivity, and promoting trade. The US benefited greatly from this plan. The US econemy picked up and had new allies in Europe.
Marshall made attempts to aid the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe in the recovery from war, but his design was rejected by Moscow. This plan helped with the containment of communism in Europe.
